How do I verify an applicant's provider card status?

ONS offers primary source verification for ONS Provider Cards earned through the completion of the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate™ course, the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Renewal™ course, the ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy™ course, and the ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Renewal™ course. Verification can be obtained via the self-service certificate verification site or by submitting a request in writing.

The self-service site is available free of charge. This site does not currently provide a live integration with our learning management platform. Provider card dates are uploaded the first week of every month for the month prior, so please be mindful of this when trying to obtain verification for recently completed courses. Provider cards that have expired will not display in the search results.

Written verification requests will be sent on official ONS letterhead and carry a $15 charge. The charge will be waived for ONS members* who do not need verifications on official letterhead. Please send requests for written verification to [email protected] and include the nurse's full name and home address. You can also reach us by selecting "Submit a Ticket" within the ONS Help Center. Verifications are processed within 3 business days of receiving payment and are handled in the order in which they are received.

ONS does not provide verification for OCN®, AOCN®, AOCNP®, AOCNS®, CPON®, CPHON®, CBCN®, or BMTCN® certification status. Primary source verification for certification status is provided by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. Details related to these requests can be found at www.oncc.org
